G Wheel and castor series
Cast iron wheels and castors
The wheels and castors in the G series are made from high-quality grey cast iron. The hardness of 180 - 220 HB ensures very little rolling and swivel resistance on smooth surfaces. The machined tread and edges guarantee a high level of concentricity. In the plain bore version, the wheels can handle temperatures between -100 °C bis hin zu +600 °C. The ball bearing version can resist temperatures up to +300 °C. The cast iron wheels use a grease nipple to provide constant lubrication with heat-resistant grease. The wheels are lacquered to protect the surfaces. The coating can change colour at high temperatures, but this does not affect the protection provided by the coating.
The cast iron wheels are used in facilities where a high level of heat resistance is required, such as foundries and curing ovens. They are also used for autoclaves or in coating systems for automobile manufacturers.
